A confidently wrong answer is a conduct event.

Get it wrong in advice and it is redress, a fine, and a Senior Manager's name against it — which is why your firm keeps AI away from the work that matters. Cornerstone is not another AI. It is the platform that makes the AI you already use safe to put in front of advice, credit decisions and client communication: it works from your firm's own checked facts, shows where every answer came from, and says so when it does not know.

Watch it happen

A rule changes. Which advice now needs review?

A regulator tightens a suitability requirement. Compliance has to find every piece of advice given under the old interpretation. Today that is a manual reconstruction across case files, and it takes weeks — if it can be done at all. With Cornerstone it is one question. The answer names every affected piece of advice, the adviser, the client and the guidance version each relied on. The review covers the real list instead of the whole book, it takes an afternoon rather than weeks, and the firm can show the regulator exactly what it checked and why.

How it works

Checked facts, not raw files.

Today your AI reads your documents and guesses at an answer. Cornerstone turns those documents into checked facts first — each carrying who wrote it, when, and what it applies to — and gives your AI those facts to work from. Every answer comes from something you can point to. When the facts are not there, it says so.

01

Your policies, decisions and client records go in.

02

They become checked facts: who wrote each one, when, and what it applies to.

03

Your AI works from those facts — and tells you when they run out.

What changes

What changes for you.

It says “not documented” instead of guessing.

Ask what the suitability rule is for a client in a given circumstance. If the answer is in your policies, you get it with the source attached. If it is not, you are told so — not handed a plausible paragraph.

Every answer comes with something a Senior Manager can point to.

Who wrote the rule, when, and which clients it applies to travel with the answer. That is the basis SM&CR expects the accountable person to have, and it is there before anyone asks.

When a document turns out wrong, you get the list.

A KYC document is found to be forged, or a policy is superseded. Cornerstone names every decision, approval and client letter that rested on it — the real list, not the whole book.

The AI you already have, allowed into the work it is barred from.

Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini — or a model you host yourself — stay exactly where they are. Cornerstone connects to whichever you run, so the seat you already pay for can finally be used on the advice, not just the admin.

Can you trust it

Seven methods. Same documents. Same model.

The benchmark is ours, on our own documents, and eight tasks is a small sample — we publish the questions it got wrong. What it shows is the one thing that matters here: only one method of seven could decline to answer, and a declined answer is a review, not a breach.

It runs where your policy says: hosted in the jurisdiction you need, in your own cloud, or on your own hardware. Your model, your key. Nothing has to leave your boundary.

The questions you will ask

Answered straight.

We already have Copilot.

Keep it. Copilot is the surface. It does not hold your firm’s rules, decisions and rationale as facts it can cite, and it cannot decline. Cornerstone connects to it — as it does to any model, including one you host yourself.

Will the FCA accept this?

The FCA has said a named Senior Manager owns the outcome and must be able to explain the basis. An answer with its source, author and date attached — or a decline — is a basis you can explain. We will walk your compliance lead through it.

How do we know your numbers are real?

The benchmark and the documents are ours, and we say so. We publish the eight it got wrong. Bring your own questions and we will run them with you.

Bring your compliance lead.

Book a call and bring the questions your compliance function will ask; we will take them directly. Or point it at one client book and see what it declines to answer.
